Coaches for Charity is proud of its partnership with the Roskruge Cougar Classic Basketball Tournament.
The mission of the Roskruge Cougar Classic is to provide an exciting event for elementary and middle school athletes utilizing both quality facilities and experienced high school and college referees in a safe atmosphere of good sportsmanship. Over 500 student athletes will be participating in the 34th annual Roskruge Cougar Classic basketball tournament in February of 2016.
Coaches for Charity is assisting the Roskruge Cougar Classic with public relations and arranging corporate sponsorships. In addition, Coaches for Charity has made direct contributions to the Roskruge Cougar Classic to help with the expense of the tournament and awards banquet.
"It's for the kids," said Dr. Edward Ackerley, Executive Director of Coaches for Charity. "Tournament founder and director Dale Lopez keeps the entry fees as low as possible so for many of these kids the Roskruge Cougar Classic is their first and only opportunity to play organized basketball indoors on wooden courts with a clock and scoreboard, quality officials and bleachers full of cheering friends and family."
